After a successful first year in 2025, the West Berks Comedy Festival will return to the run this year from July 16th-25th. With venues in Hungerford,
Newbury, Thatcham, and Kintbury. They will host a wide range of shows that will
be heading up to the Edinburgh Fringe in August from the 7th-31st.
There really is something for everyone in this years line-up. Best known among the acts bringing their shows to the area are ex policeofficer Alfie Moore, who fronts Radio 4 show “It’s a Fair Cop.” Mitch Benn, who was the musical satirist on “The Now Show.” Sandro Ford, whose “Problematic Pub Podcast” has reached more than 25 million views. Rachel Creegar, a
regular guest on BBC Sunday Morning Live, best-selling author and award-winning comedian Dave Chawner and another brilliant award-winner, Aarian Mehrabani, who will also be performing their
solo shows.

Along with several other professional acts. Many of which are running on the popular Edinburgh Fringe pay what you want, although seats for all these can be reserved via the
festival website.
Organiser, Graeme Coulam, who runs the popular comedy clubs in Hungerford and Thatcham, notes: “The Festival is all about comedy, community and charity. Acts are giving their Edinburgh Fringe shows one last spin before going up to Scotland, and this is a brilliant opportunity for us to see those shows before the industry big-wigs take
them into bigger theatres, bigger tours, and TV commissions. Every comedic taste is catered for, and what’s brilliant is that we are using a lot of different community venues to host the shows and ultimately
supporting a range of local charities with any profits that we make.”
Graeme will also be attending and reading some of his “Bedtime Stories for Children
over 18″, in Esquires Coffee Shop during the full week of the Festival. He adds, “Though all shows are ticketed, several are pay what you want, so no one is excluded from coming along.”
The Festival does not rely on commercial sponsorship but is happy to align with local businesses (or individual patrons) that would like to
be associated with this amazing community event. Please do contact Graeme for more
information about the sponsorship packages available.

Donnington New Homes is sponsoring the wider festival, but individual
sponsors can still sign up to sponsor specific shows. Email info@wbcf.uk for more information.
Tickets are already available from http://www.wbcf.uk.

Sponsored charities: Loose Ends, West Berks Homeless, Kintbury Tennis Club, West Berks Action for Refugees, UMPMRS (a charity in Brazil).

Please come along, bring your friends, and see some of the finest comedy available before they head up to this years Edinburgh Fringe.
