Solo play about the plainer, non- famous sister, Helena (Michelle Cohn) of supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella. The media is all over the family at the moment due to the models both falling down a flight of stairs at an event.
People fall down the stairs everyday and nobody bats an eye but these two are different as what was behind it and are they both ok. I dare say their insurance companies would have concerns too.
The play raises some interesting points around what you can and can’t do online and in public without requesting permission just in case you put your famous part of the family into a compromised situation.
As the story unfolds, you understand how difficult it is for Helena as she just wants her own career in writing without any help from her family. Who offered to pull some strings for her. Which she vehemently refuses. Along with her new boyfriend, who she has told that she is an only child!
However, there are times when Helena finds herself jealous of them. Not for what they do or have. But for how easy things seem to be for them and the opportunities that fall in their laps. Or so it appears on the surface!
The story is a fascinating insight into how siblings in these situations might feel. However, there’s a cleverly woven twist at the end that I honestly didn’t see coming.
