The Last Mad Man- Edinburgh Fringe 2026.

The Last Mad Man has been written and performed by Steven Phillips-Horst about the “Mad world” of advertising and the ability to write catchy logos, which are designed to hook in consumers in specific areas of the market.

As an experienced copywriter, they are capable of convincing you (the consumer) to buy things that you never realised that you needed or wanted. A simple rebrand by the right person can boost sales and make a huge profit.

He is about to take on his toughest client ever as they ask him to rebrand the “Apocalypse” although it appears to be a very tough request if anyone can rebrand it to sound appealing, then he can. Sit back and watch as the ideas start to flood out.

The writing is witty and remarkably accurate to what is happening in the world today as we become saturated with advertising and slogans around us even if we don’t realise that it’s there. If you have ever bought something that you can’t quite figure out why, then it’s possible that the marketing might have had something to do with it.

Writer Steven Phillips-Horst was an advertising copywriter for brands like Hiton, Uber, and Hims. He understands the pressure of the job and how to play with words in order that they become catchy and hook in the consumers who are their target market.
