The Fit Improv Show-Folkstone Live.

The FIT Improv Show had two of their shows running at Folkestone Live at the weekend. The adult version is being performed on Saturday night and the children’s version on Sunday morning.

Lucy starts off the show by introducing all the Improv group to the audience. Each one will be asked a question so the audience can get to know them a little better. Although I dare say most of the audience were family and friends and already know them.

My favourite comedy sketch took place between a film director and a radio station host interviewing them about their latest film and talking through some of the scenes which are sort of “acted out” by others from the Improv group.

For anyone who has been to a  film industry event and seen directors interviewed and talk about some of the scenes you have just watched and that you just can’t understand what they are about. Then, this sketch captured it perfectly.

The adult version of Improv had some slightly stronger language and adult themes. It wasn’t too risqué and the sketches were funny and tastefully done.

This Improv sketch group worked incredibly well together, and it was clear that they have practised together long enough to know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. A good example of comedy Improv done well.
