Rachel Delooze-Fareham Pantomime Interview.

It’s never too early to start thinking about the Pantomime season. With Fareham launching their’s this week, it was an ideal opportunity to catch up with some of the cast ahead of the start of the busy rehearsal schedule.

The first interview took place with Rachel Delooze, who is going to be performing the glittering role of Fairy Flora. Rachel looks every inch of the part in her sparkling dress complete with wings.

If you could play any Pantomime role, which would you choose?

The Fairy, as I like being the character that has the Pantomime magic in my hands.

How do you feel about being part of the first experience that some children will have at the theatre?

It feels like a great responsibility and honour. I am always excited to see their faces and believing in the magic of Pantomime. It’s all very exciting.

Can you remember the first Pantomime you watched?

Cinderella, I remember being completely in awe of the beautiful carriage and the magical world.

What’s your favourite Pantomime?

Jack and the Beanstalk, as I really liked seeing the Giant appear.

Do you have a break in January or start another acting job?

No break for me, I am straight back to my day job as full-time Mum as I have recently had a baby.

What’s your favourite cake?

Victoria sponge, I like to keep it traditional. Even my wedding cake was one.

What’s your next role after the Pantomime season?

At the moment, I don’t have anything else lined up.

How many times have you been in Pantomime?

This year is my sixth Pantomime, and I absolutely love it.

I have had the privilege of seeing Fairy Flora’s dress up close, and it certainly does sparkle, and Rachel looks amazing. I look forward to watching this year’s Pantomime at Fareham Live in December.
