Pup Play has been created and performed by Noah Alfred Pantano and is for adults only. Noah has put a lot of his personal experience into the show.
Noah plays Professor Handler David throughout the show and puts a neoprene puppy hood. Some of the audience who have brought their own hoods with them all of different styles with colours reflecting their fetish.
The show starts with the audience being encouraged to bark to get us into the right space for the next hour. Pup Play is a fetish queer subculture that has been increasing over the last few years in Europe. Pups often get into into submissive headspace, which they would be a while being a pup, and this is illustrated.
Noah changes outfits into ones you would expect to see pups wearing at various fetish events such as Folsom in Berlin and Fetish week in Gran Canaria.
The set includes a cage (like the ones used for pet dogs) which Noah gets into whilst dressed in a lycra singlet and puppy hood whist being caged by his handler illustrating the sense of fear.
Sexual acts are discussed in great detail, including fisting which is common in the gay fetish world, and an audience member is invited up onto the stage as part of this but only miming and not actual.
Noah gets naked as part of the act before getting back into some leather gear, which is another part of the fettish lifestyle.
As the show progresses we are given some voting by means of raising the hand. This is then developed throughout the the show the audience are invited to vote on various questions relating to pup play and fettish wear. What fears theare are when being outside such as would we be happy to wear a pup hood in the street in Colchester and no-one would wear one on the streets.
Any money from ticket sales are given to LGBTQ charities by Noah. The show is being taken to the Stockholm Fringe at the end of August.
Four and a Half Stars.
