TUNEabomber-No Eco-Terrorist Monster.

Satirical musical about an unusual choice of subject the terrorist bomber Ted Kaczynski in TUNEabomber. Set to an original musical score and humour scattered throughout the performance.

Factual and historical context blended alongside the musical score. Finds a (remorseful) Kaczynski appealing his solitary prison sentence to the parole board (us, the audience) using his love for music (apparently) to show he is a changed man and deserves an opportunity to be freed and then follow his musical destiny.

His lawyer presents the case while trying to keep Kaczynski on an even keel. The bombers true character slips out every so often when he notices the parole board are not being convinced by his performance or his lawyer says something he takes offence to.

Michael Wysong and John Lampes musical offers an entertaining and humorous insight into, what it feels like to have lived a life with unfulfilled dreams.

Fringe Theatre never ceases to surprise me and you never know what subjects you will find next. With just over three and a half thousand shows available over the Edinburgh Fringe month anything can turn up and it certainly has.
