Eileen(Juliette Imbert) is the least suspecting person you would imagine to have intrusive thoughts about killing people!

The play also features Kate Woodman as Mary and Imogen Whelan as Toni, who don’t understand the extent of how obsessive and intrusive these thoughts are for Eileen. Why would they as these thoughts aren’t commonplace.

Eileen frequently experiences episodes of severe OCD harm and violent intrusive thoughts and turns her obsessive personality to the church in the hope that this will help her focus and save her from these thoughts.

However, as with all obsessions, she buys all the tools of the trade to help her on her religious journey from a bible to rosary beads. She’s desperate to try anything to rid herself of all these thoughts and be more “normal.”

The production is bought to the Edinburgh Fringe by the Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club. It has the potential to be a powerful play as it tackles OCD in the violent format. Many relate to OCD as being obsessively clean and tidy, not about killing someone.

The main themes running throughout, thus production alongside the OCD is love and friendship, not giving up on someone just because they are struggling. The reality is Eileen doesn’t want to have these thoughts and wants to be happy.
