For one, glittering night only on 2 February 2026, the West End came together for Love Life: West End Unites Against Cancer at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane. A special performance in support of One For The Boys a charity dedicated to raise awareness amongst men, helping them to spot the early signs of cancer, and getting checked as soon as possible.

Led my musical director Alan Williams with a live 20-piece orchestra, hosted by Joel Montague and Melanie La Barrie, the event featured performances and exclusive collaborations from West End theatre royalty. A wide mix of performers to the stage, each lending their voice and talent to a cause that affects so many men.

The performances were full of heart, and it was obvious that every artist really cared about why the event was happening. Whether someone was belting out a solo, duo or trio, they approached it all with real sincerity. The whole show felt polished, but also personal and genuine.

With so many five star performances it’s difficult to pick out a highlight, but for me I have never heard such a powerful performance of “Suddenly Seymour” from Little Shop of Horrors sang by Joel Montague and Melanie La Barrie.

What made Love Life stand out wasn’t only the talent onstage but the unity behind it. Performers, musicians, backstage teams, and organisers all contributed to a night designed to make a difference. The audience responded in kind, creating a warm, supportive energy that carried through the entire performance.

Events like this highlight the role the arts can play beyond entertainment. When that collective spirit is directed toward a cause as important as the fight against cancer, it becomes even more meaningful.

As the evening came to a close, it was clear that Love Life had achieved more than a memorable performance. It offered a reminder of what can happen when a community uses its voice—and its stage—to support those who need it most.
