What’s your show called for Edinburgh Fringe 2025?
Why I Stuck A Flare Up My Arse For England
How long have you been doing the Edinburgh Fringe?
This the show’s third and final (hat-trick) year at the Fringe!
How do you cope with the overwhelming chaos that the Fringe brings?
Generally with a couple of pints after the show in Bristo Square. It’s such a lovely vibe and one of the greatest places on Earth!
What sort of shows will you see if you have time?
I love watching comedy but also will check out as much other theatre as I can. There’s a brilliant new writer called Nia Braidie with a play that sounds fascinating called the Underneath… I’ll definitely check that out this year.
Have you performed at any other Fringe’s? If so, which has been your favourite so far?
We were lucky enough to win the Holden Street Theatre award last year which took us to Adelaide Fringe in February. It was the most amazing experience. Unlike Edinburgh, you can guarantee beautiful weather every day! But I couldn’t compare the two any further than that because they’re so different and offer such brilliant things respectively. We were honoured to pick up Best Theatre show there this year which really capped off some unbelievable weeks.
Any advice to newbies about flyering?
I’m not too sure… I guess ask yourself what you would want to hear and see if you were being flyered? Get creative with it. Use your shows USP to help get those flyers out.
What are your plans for the show after the Edinburgh Fringe?
Idk… we will see. I often get asked if I’m ready to put it to bed. I think there’s a high chance I’ll be 45 and still playing 18-year-old Billy Kinley and doing bum flares in various places.
