Friends Dermot (Brenock O’Connor) and his friend Elvis (Owen Colgan) run a small record shop in Omagh, County Tyrone called Bone Yard Records the walls are covered with local “Gig” posters and full of record shelves.
Anyone who remembers buying their vinyl in a proper record shop will take a visual trip down memory lane and remember spending hours thumbing through to try and find their next purchase.

However, the friends have four months of unpaid rent and their landlady Sadie played by Derry Girls’ Tara Lynne O’Neill gives them ten days to pay up or they will be out “on the street” with all their stuff.
Desperate to bring themselves back into credit Dermot stumbles upon someone selling a box of old rare, vintage records by blues legend Robert Johnson for sale in Cork at a knock-down price.

Thirty seven year old Elvis is divorced and living with his Mum. In a moment of madness he promises to buy his daughter a horse for her birthday. His ex-wife is furious and doesn’t want him to let their daughter down. Although, Elvis hasn’t actually thought through this present and has to try to work out where to get one while they are on the road trip.
In order to buy these records means “taking a wee spin” across Ireland. On their way, they meet several people and end up giving some a lift. One of whom is a Nun, and as it turns out God certainly does move in mysterious ways.

The storyline is gentle and echoes the slower pace of living in a small town in Northern Ireland. Along with the beautiful Irish scenery captured on their trip.
Meanwhile, while the friends are away Sadie tries to pull an underhanded trick on her tenants she realises how well-liked they are.
The friends are decent guys who deserve a lucky break and even when faced with making a small fortune they still do the decent and honourable thing.
Four Stars.
