Welsh, Jewish comedian Josh Elton brought his debut comedy performance to the Edinburgh Fringe. Away With The Fairies is a fitting title by the former therapist. Elton has a keen eye for details and picks out quirky comedy sections that add depth to his performance.
Elton used to have a fascination with watching people take their cars out on retractable bollards in City Centres. That is until he went viral by becoming one of those statistics.
If you want to find out more (which I did) check out Google. It wasn’t a driver’s error and could happen to anyone, watch out for retractable bollards they take no prisoners. What better material could a comedian ask for? If you’re unlucky enough you might get a mention in a future show.
Elton is living proof that it pays to tell lies about your brother. This isn’t as bad as it sounds although most siblings have probably done similar things to each other. If you want to find out what he lied about then it’s one of the good reasons to catch one of his shows.
This may have been Elton’s debut show. However, I will be very surprised if this was his last as he has a natural timed comedy delivery and looks very comfortable in front of an audience.
Elton is one to watch and one I will happily catch again in the future.
