Hunger-Edinburgh Fringe 2025.

An exceptionally entertaining experimental theatre piece i bought to you by the name Hunger by Fragen. The performance has its own backstory, which you can read in the sheet you are given upon arrival. However, the audience is invited to decide for themselves what the story involves and will be different for everyone.

I urge you to arrive in the auditorium with an open mind and be prepared to become involved in some way if you want to. The best experiences of Hunger are opening up to what happens inside the theatre space. I can assure you nothing humiliating or embarrassing will happen to anyone in there, it’s a safe space.

Hunger has to be one of the most bizarre yet brilliant performances I have watched, no experienced this year at the Edinburgh Fringe.

There’s a wide-ranging selection of masks and costumes on stage made from newspaper that are enchanting and intriguing. Even more so when they come to life as faces in the crowd.

The model of the newspaper baby puppet should be haunting by its looks, the cast brings it to life and interacts softly with the audience. It’s a mesmerising experience.

The cast of Four is exceptional and their ability to evoke many emotions from the audience at any one time left me awe of each one.
