A Paper Orchestra-Edinburgh Fringe 2025.

When you write for a living and create characters for television productions is it fulfilling?

Emmy-nominated screenwriter Michael Jamin whose wrtten for King of the Hill, Just Shoot Me, Beavis and Butt-Head, Wilfred and Maron to name but a few can answer that wž.

Jamin discusses how after all the years of writing he wasn’t sure he knew who he was and was encouraged by his wife Cynthia to start writing stories about his life and experiences.

In A Paper Orchestra we learn more about Jamin’s family life throught two of the collection he has written. First one discusses his Father’s pushiness into Jamin’s karate years and how much he didn’t enjoy it, but was made to goʻ.

The second story is relatable to many parents as the children reach young adulthood and as parents we watch our children change and move away. Although they might be ready to move away and grow up, as a parent we might not be and you have to accept things have changed.

Jamin is a natural storyteller and has a fascinating insight into how other people think and behave. I would be keen to hear more of the stories he has written as they are entertaining and I am nosey and like learning more about people especially the parts that appear insignificant.

A Paper Orchestra is available to buy from all good online book sellers.
