RWP@Dovecot opens its doors as a new venue for the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe. It’s not the most inspiring of Edinburgh Fringe venues but it’s clean, bright and doesn’t smell of damp. If you know, you know.

Pretend It’s Fine is a new comedy sketch show by the funny and charismatic comedy duo Finlay and Joe. Their comedy timings are superb and the duo continues to have a strong working rapport.

There’s a certain amount of audience participation and from the responses they received the audience was willing to become involved. Each show will be slightly different due to the character that Joe becomes through the audience suggestions.

This is very much still a work in progress. Their words, not mine. The characters in the comedy sketch show range from a far-sighted detective who has an eye for crime, an accent shop, and auditions for the advertisement face for a well-known Master Chocolatier. You might never look at that advert in the same way again! These are just a few of their characters that make an appearance.

Matching suits with flames becomes an integral part of the performance as a major event changes the direction of the comedy sketch show.

Once the sketch show is finished and polished I would like to see the show again, oh, and a different set of audience suggestions to challenge Joe’s improv skills.
