“Mary Kennedy, yes one of those Kennedys, third cousins twice removed; all of the tragedy, none of the money” brings her show to the Edinburgh Fringe this August.
What’s your show called for Edinburgh Fringe 2025?
Hail Mary, None of the Grace. This is my debut of this show, it is our also our first year at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Edinburgh can be chaotic and overwhelming for a first-time time performer, any thoughts on this?
I am also a stand-up comic and will use my humour. I also come from theatre, producing, directing and acting, so I am used to the chaos. My Director, Charlene Ward and I went to Emerson College. We have done a lot of productions together starting in college. Charlene will be at the Edinburgh Fringe with me. We just finished a tour of my other show, Mid Life Mood Swing and we laugh through the chaos and sometimes cry. Did I tell you I am peri-menopausal? I am a real-life Kennedy, third cousins twice removed, all the tragedy, none of the money!
What sort of Fringe shows do you see?
I am interested in seeing the other person’s shows, but also the non-traditional performance pieces. I want to see as much as I can. I love that our show is at 3:40 pm every day, because we have our nights free, to see other shows. I am also looking to do some stand-up while I am at the Edinburgh Fringe!
Have you performed at any other Fringes? If so, which has been your favourite so far?
Just Hollywood Fringe as a stand up. That was alot of fun, but we only did a handful of shows. I am looking forward to doing 26 shows in a row.
How do plan to advertise your show?
Get out there everyday and we made t-shirts, that will also be our flyers. I will be a walking billboard.
What are your plans for the show after the Edinburgh Fringe?
To tour and hope to take pitch meetings to develop this into a film or a tv series.
