Brighton comedian Dan Fardell is one the humblest comedians I’ve met during my years of reviewing theatre and comedy. Don’t Look Back is a show with two meanings one never looks back just focus on the future and his actual back which he cannot look at without help anyway.
Fardell offers an insight into his struggle living with and manoeuvring through his lifelong medical condition which has dramatically changed his shape, and lifestyle and cut his height down to size. However, he isn’t going to be deterred as his performance proves.
An incredibly likeable comedian who understands life and has an endearing vulnerable side which he exposes to the audience through comedy. There was a good turnout for his show which from the initial ticket sales was looking to be a one-to-one show, that’s the beauty of Fringe you never know what will happen next.
His new hour of stand-up comedy certainly had the audience engaged throughout and by the amount of people who stayed behind to chat afterwards I think it’s safe to say they enjoyed this show.
There’s something special about the solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe like Farnell. Where they use things they know and have experienced to entertain audiences and let them forget their problems and worries for an hour or so, who needs to pay for therapy? Comedy like Don’t Look Back is far more therapeutic.

Don’t take my word for how good Dan’s performance is, these audience members liked it to.
