Leslie Gold, a New Jersey comedian living in the UK brings her “Dead Dad” and sense of “Identity” comedy show A Chip Off The Gold Block to Edinburgh Fringe with plans for further tour dates.
Leslie pays tribute to her father and thanks him for giving the family a name that is proving to be useful to her for furthering her comedy career, some may say it’s pure “comedy gold” and the gift that keeps on giving.
Whitty, engaging and a keen eye for observation is the perfect mix that makes her comedy show take a look at her “dysfunctional” family who put the “FU” into the word originally apparently! That’s left for the audience to decide.
Gold stands out from the crowd and like many ladies around the dreaded “50” zone she has had plenty of hard knocks and life experiences to build her comedy from. Plus a few “dick jokes” or rather “dick experiences” to throw into the mix.
Upon meeting Leslie Gold she is genuinely a nice person with a strong character who deserves to go further in her career. In the ever-changing world of politics, agendas and social media there’s plenty of new material just waiting to be observed.
