The most popular social media platform TikTok can make people famous for performing just about anything as long as it follows their strict rules and regulations. Trying hard to stay out of the shadowban zone. This is the TikTok unofficial name for what happens when TikTok temporarily restricts the visibility of an account. When this happens, a user’s videos will stop appearing on TikTok’s “For You” page and you are restricted.

FAMEHUNGRY puts the camera lens up against the camera lens. Each show is performed in front of a live audience who can read all the comments as they scroll up the screen, the viewers discuss whether the show is live or recorded. The whole performance is live.

It’s a fascinating experience as you watch and “sort of ” participate in the live show from the comfort of your theatre seat. I’ve never experienced watching a show on this platform before. It is well worth going to watch and perhaps get a greater understanding of how the bizarre world of TikTok works.

The viewers only get to see the live performance. The insight behind using TikTok and the in-depth analysis is strictly for audiences only. The users questioned why we would pay good money to watch this, without realising their comments added to the absurdity and comedy throughout the show. An extraordinary social experiment that the viewers are unlikely to realise they participated in.

Orwin is a phenomenal performer and throughout the show she pushes the boundaries a bit further until she reaches the final act and reaches almost 28k likes on her live TikTok feed. Every show will be slightly different depending on the audience and the TikTok followers online at the time. Their reactions were hilarious when they realised it was a live performance.
