Pool’s Gold offers an hour-long comedy show of two halves Blackpool comedian Jack Kelly kicks the show off and warms up the audience followed by Liverpool-born Jimmy Shirley who certainly well-travelled and had a few adventures.
Jack is a seasoned comedian each of his performances will be slightly different as he interacts with the audience throughout with comedy anecdotes about life, love and jobs. His observations certainly had the audience laughing along with him.
Jack also knows Shrek (not the computer-generated one obviously) if that has intrigued you then go and find out more.
Jimmy originally from Liverpool bases most of his comedy act around his travels and his time working in Greece. With some of the antics he got up to I am surprised he lived to tell the tale. Perfect comedy gold and I am sure there’s plenty more where those came from.
Each comedian has a different pace and delivery. They complement one another’s style. If you’re lucky you might get a chocolate coin too, only if the applause is good enough though.
10.30 am at the Edinburgh Fringe can be a challenging time to put on a show and according to their flyers, they “both regret this early time slot” now. The Attic in the Counting House was two-thirds full, with good audience numbers at the Edinburgh Fringe.
