Fifty minutes of madcap entertainment see The Raymondos perform MacPlebs. Bringing their own edited, Improvised and incredibly funny version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth to the Edinburgh Fringe. I’ve certainly never laughed so much watching Macbeth.
Only two members of the acting company are left after being involved in a fatal accident. “To perform or not to perform” that is the question. Once they do the maths from ticket sales there’s only one option left.
The cast of two engages the audience in a whistlestop tour of the characters and storyline of the famous Shakespearean tragedy Macbeth. Adele was due to play one of the roles but sadly didn’t make it! It is left to the two survivors to stand in.
In tonight’s performance, even the props decided to add their improvisation with the crown deciding that it knew the fate of King Duncan and kept falling off and the dagger used to stab King Duncan snapped in half. The cast mixed these mishaps into the show and carried on. The audience knew it wasn’t part of the show by the look of surprise on the cast’s faces, it’s a shame it isn’t as the reactions were hilarious.
