Brasserie Zedel is the home to the cabaret venue Crazy Coqs in the heart of London’s West End, close to Piccadilly Circus Tube station. It’s a beautiful and intimate cabaret room which brings together all “art forms in one extraordinary building, featuring cabaret, music, theatre, comedy and magic”. The acoustics are perfect for all types of musical shows.
John Lloyd-Young accompanied by Zoe Carol on piano takes to the stage in Crazy Coqs for two nights, the 2nd and 4th of July 2024. Best known for his role in Jersey Boys the musical and later the film directed by Clint Eastwood. Where he played the role of legendary singer Frankie Valli. Who we learn he has now become friends with.
The intimate cabaret setting allowed John Lloyd Young to leave the stage while singing on two occasions to interact with the audience and shake hands. You could see by some of his fan’s reactions that he had made their evening complete.

Some of the stories he recalled were about his early memories of his Grandmother taking him to shows and the music he listened to. From the age of 6, he dreamed of performing on one of the Broadway stages. Hard work and perseverance paid off, with the help of a fantastic versatile singing voice. Which he demonstrated throughout the evening.
John Lloyd Young has had a varied and exciting career so far in the Theatre and film industry. Working alongside many “big” Hollywood box office names and Broadway greats. I am sure there’s more yet to come from the charming and charismatic musical performer.
An intimate experience where the audience can feel at times that they are the only person in the room and John Lloyd Young is singing and talking only to you. For a touch of Broadway magic in the heart of The West End, it is worth experiencing if you get an opportunity, you might even get to shake his hand, I did.
Five Stars.
