Aidan Sadler two months had no intention of performing in Edinburgh this year, yet here it is in full glorious colour (stunning outfits). Queer award-winning cabaret artist has created MELODY which combines singing, comedy and a huge dash of Sadler’s charm.
Sadler engages with the audience throughout with a few surprises thrown in throughout the show. Explaining some of the things they had been doing this year and the awful confession to selling out to a corporate company (temporarily) at Gay Pride this year. The memory haunts them!
From fast cabaret-style numbers to a beautiful finishing ballad about being who they choose to be and never wanting to be anything else, not that I can imagine Sadler being anything else but authentic.
MELODY is an all-around entertaining show which has a bit of everything thrown in plus a bit extra on the side. A good solid cabaret show for an evening’s entertainment at the Edinburgh Fringe.
For a show that was put together quickly, it feels polished and finished. Sadler loves performing and enjoys the banter and energy he receives from the audience, which shows in every performance I have seen.
